When a team plays with a lot of heart the whole gym feels it. The SCA Dragons had that feeling when they played this month. They won 98 to 74. It was one of their best games all season. They played fast, they played tough. They played smart from start to finish.
The game was close at first. Both teams were. It was exciting to watch.. The SCA Dragons started to play better and better. They moved the ball well and scored a lot of points. They also played defense and made it hard for the other team to score.

There were some moments in the game. Like when one of the SCA Dragons players made a tough shot it got the crowd cheering and the team pumped up. By halftime the SCA Dragons were ahead. They never looked back. In the half they just kept playing well and their lead got bigger.
The final score was 98 to 74. The SCA Dragons played amazing. Every player did a job. The guards were great at getting past the teams players and making shots. The wings made some three-pointers.. The big guys in the middle protected the hoop and got lots of rebounds. This was a team effort. The SCA Dragons had been practicing for weeks. It really paid off. They trusted each other. It showed in the way they played.
The students and the community were all cheering for the SCA Dragons. They were so proud of their team. The SCA Dragons are not just playing for themselves they are playing for their school and their city. They are part of somethingThe Springfield Commonwealth Academy Athletics are a deal.
When the SCA Dragons play they are playing in the city where basketball was invented. It is a cool feeling. Basketball was created in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1891. A man named Dr. James Naismith made the game because he wanted to keep his students active during the winter. He nailed two peach baskets to a gym. Made 13 rules for the game.. That is how basketball was born.

Now the city of Springfield is still about basketball. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is there. It is a really cool place to visit. The SCA Dragons are proud to be a part of this legacy. They play with heart. They play with pride. They know they are representing something than themselves.
As the season goes on the SCA Dragons will keep working and playing their best. They will face challenges and new teams but they are ready. They will take it one game at a time. Always give it their all. Go SCA Dragons!!!
